Royal Copenhagen Pendant by Anton Michelson

This Royal Copenhagen porcelain pendant is terrific and in like-new condition. It truly succeeds as jewelry and is compelling, especially when worn over any number of rich colors. The disk is created in low relief and is colored in gold, pale pink and charcoal glazes. It was created, mid-century by the well-known, Danish, ceramic artist, Anton Michelsen.

Marks are stamped into the back of the bale and include the Royal Copenhagen mark, Anton Michelsen's mark and "925 S"(sterling). The pendant hangs on its original sterling chain and is also marked on the reverse with: the Royal Copenhagen mark, below which is "Denmark" and still lower, the inscribed numbers 4980. The chain measures 25 inches long and the pendant is 2.25 inches, diamter.
